Density and annual ring wide influence on strength properties of Norway spruce wood

Wood and wood products have the ability to keep a heavy loads. Due to this, it is often used in the construction industry as a reliable and ecological material. It is known, that wood strength properties depends on its density, amount and wide of the wood annual rings. When the density of the wood is high and the width of the annual rings does not exceed the optimum limits, the mechanical properties of the wood are definitive. This research object is an impact of the density and width of the annual rings on mechanical properties of lithuanian-growth spruce wood.
