The impact of various heat post-treatments on the Brinell hardness and set recovery on densified fir and poplar

The high temperature and duration of the post-treatment reduce the set recovery of the densified wood. However, the chosen post-treatments do not have a significant impact on the Brinell hardness of both tested wood species. More research is needed for certain applications of densified wood.
