THE ANALYSIS OF THE FLOW OF WOOD RESOURCES

Available amount of wood resources each year in Latvia is 11.5 million m3 on average, where about 62% is an assortment of saw logs. The task of this paper is to create a simulation model of wood resource flow, enabling analysis of the flow of resources to the customer. The model consists of four modeling steps – study of the system, creation of conceptual and logical model, as well as analysis of data. The conceptual and logical model is developed in UML diagrams and simulation model is created using software EXTEND Industry.
The following tasks have been set to achieve the aim of the work: research on the influencing factors of the flow of wood resources and their interaction; elaboration of the algorithm of the analysis of the flow of wood resources; elaboration of the methodology of the analysis of the interactive demand and consumption of the flow of wood resources. In The paper has presented the methodology of the use of demand and consumption analysis model.
