SHRINKAGE AND SWELLING COEFFICIENTS OF PINECELLULAR WOOD MATERIAL

Cellular wood material DendroLight® is one of newest wood products. It is manufacturing of low quality sawn timber. Due cellular structure, this material has lowest density than solid wood. Cellular wood material as solid wood change dimension when changed cellular wood material moisture content. Still can’t know how much dimension cellular wood materials change and are they substantial changing in different directions.
Researching methodology based on LVS EN 318 standard. Summary are manufactured 60 specimens in each direction 20 specimens. All specimens are aged in three different conditions.
As a result of research are achieved shrinkage and swelling coefficients of cellular wood materials in all three directions. It could be used in engineering and technical calculations, fit tolerance or in compensation gaps calculations.
Obtained results give opportunity laminate cellular wood material with suitable timber and boards materials. As a result of research are achieved in which directions cellular wood material shrinkage and swelling are substantial and in which aren’t substantial changes.

Keywords: pine, wood cellular material, shrinkage and swelling
