In this work the method of resonant oscillations research was applied for evaluation of viscous elastic properties of circular saws. Studies were conducted with 9ХФ steel type saws. For the research three types of special construction circular saws of longitudinal sawing were chosen: sectional without notches, sectional with four notches in a saw plane, and sectional with four notches in a saw plane and with hard alloy plates. Measurements were made in the range 20-2000 Hz. The viscous elastic properties (dynamic Young`s modulus and coefficient of damping) were evaluated. The stability of geometrical shape of the circular saws is related to elastic and tenacious properties of the saw material. Only after evaluation of these properties the stability of geometrical shape of the saw within a time period may be prognosticated.
