Technology of eco furniture has been known for long and it is still being improved, but by using more and more Earth resources – annually naturally renewable in nature or fibrous plants’ raw material for production, the environmental problems in the furniture sector would significantly reduce.
The article deals with the innovative possibilities to design and manufacture eco furniture from vegetation of the other parts of the world and from the fiber plants grown in Lithuania: flax, nettle and hemp fibers. It discusses the influence of plant origin structural materials for furniture design.
