Hemp flour as the formaldehyde-scavenging extender for UF adhesive in plywood production

Due to the favourable composition, hemp flour can be used as a bio-based formaldehyde scavenger for UF resin. Studies have shown that after the adjustment in the amount of incorporated extender, it is possible to produce plywood with lowered HCHO emission and good bonding quality.
