Development of thermal insulation materials from plant fibres by steam explosion pre-treatment

The study continues investigation of wheat straw and reed by simple shredding and SE treatment for thermal insulation applications (Meile and Kokorevics, 2022). The aim of the study is to optimize the SE processing mode to reduce the thermal conductivity and bulk density of the obtained bulk thermal insulation materials.

Keywords: wheat straw, reed stems, steam explosion, thermal insulation materials, thermal insulation properties
