To utilize post-consumer wood in secondary cascading, the quality of the wood is essential. In Norway, most of the post-consumer wood is incinerated. To better understand the potential for reuse and recycling as an alternative to incineration, a few studies on contaminants in the raw material exist. To gain an understanding of the composition of the wood as a total in Norway, a consecutive and reoccurring study should be considered. In this study, we add details to the total by categorizing wood chips from recycling stations in southern Norway.
