Application of wood filled PLA on wood veneer by additive manufacturing technique

The application of plastic parts on the wood surface can be done by injection molding process or additive technique. While in injection moulding the plastic melt is applied pressurized, the use of the fused deposition moulding technique (FDM) only offers the application through melt viscosity and gravity. Characterising the bonding mechanism and its strength by varying the filament type in FDM is the goal of the investigations.
